SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Hot tapping is a method of employing an under pressure drilling machine to cut a hole in an operating pipeline or storage vessel which allows for a new branch connection from the existing pipe or vessel without any interruption to the flow.

Line stopping is a procedure that temporarily stops flow in a operating pipeline without depressurizing or purging, so that the isolated section of pipe can be repaired, replaced or altered.

Hot tapping is used in the following applications:

· Insertion of a new pipe branch in an operational pipeline

· Insertion of branch when it is costly or time-consuming to drain the pipe contents

· Preparing the pipeline for line stopping

We are capable of providing hot tapping service for the following applications:

· Hot tapping of carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, fiberglass, copper and brass pipes

· Wet tapping of cast iron, ductile iron and concrete pipes

· Tapping of pipeline diameter up to 48”
